Hi I've been playing for a while and I just wanted to know if there is a way to check your world seed. And if anyone knows any good world seeds go ahead and post it please!

Check out the wiki for some good Seeds

If you want to see your world's seed, look at the file seed.txt inside your world directory.

if you change anything in the seed, the world will look completely different. If you had a house, it might end up floating in mid air or buried underground. Other than that, yes, you can change the seed.

Question

Are Android seeds different from PC? Because whenever I try the seeds on the wiki, they're never what they seem to describe.

Welcome to the pharmacy, would you like some complimentary cyanide?

World / seed question

Hi,

Been looking for an answer to this question but don't seem to see it directly addressed. Conboy posted a chart in the wiki with locations of mobs for different seeds. Are these still accurrate? I think I'm using the seed correctly, but not finding the correct mobs in the listed location.

For example, I create a new world named Epic and enter 'epic' in the seed location. While wandering around looking for deer (-566, 172, 287) I've been extremely close to this coordinate and placed a bed there (T Rex got me a few times...). Anyway, I can get to almost the exact x and y coordinates, but z doesn't seem possible. Z should be altitude / depth and I'm in the highest location in this area. I've also made circle movements around this location and never run into a deer.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

that

the reason is that only the spawn chunks are the same after that its all random and in unity up and down are y and the other to are z and x
