Dunmor - A medieval town

May I present Dunmor, a medieval town I've built which has the following:


Over 50 houses.

A castle.

A city wall with towers.

A fort.

A lighthouse.

Two stables.

Two markets.

Two taverns.

A mine.

A school.

A jail.

A church.

A town hall.

A park.

A hard to find treasure room.

Five sets of tunnels: The mines, the old tunnels, the smuggler's tunnels, the defense tunnels, and the sewer tunnels.

Several wells and a fountain.


I've designed it to be explored and to be just like a town.

Dunmor is a medieval town which has the following:

Over 50 houses.

A castle.

A canal.

Two stables.

Two markets.

Two taverns.

Three inns.

A school.

A library.

A park.

A mine. NEW! The mine now has a mine cart and a whole another level. It's no longer boring.

A jail.

A church.

A town hall.

A hard to find treasure room. NEW! A fake treasure room that's designed to kill you.

So let's say you level up there is a new skill called charisma and every 5 charisma you have you can recruit a npc and when you have over 50 charisma you can tell your followers to gather wood and build a small village (between 5-10 houses depending on how much wood you have) then you can build a town at 100 charisma, then at 150 charisma you get a keep, and finally at 200 charisma you can make a castle. But also when you build a village randomly citizens can turn up if you make farms, (you can tweak this however you want paul). You can also hire guards (swordsmen,archers,and mages).

My Soon to be Castle

So far I have two watchtowers and a massive winding bridge connecting them. Above that hill with the ore is where the castle is going to be.[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5205:]]

Vladmirangel's Castle (not completed, Bug Problems)

Right now i'm working on my castle in story mode. This might take a while but i'll get there.
CHECK THIS PAGE EVERY NOW-AND-THEN FOR MY UPDATES.

January 19 2014:
-finished the circular wall 4 blocks thick and the base of the 4 towers.
-finished 1 roofing with a watchtower at the top, gonna do it for the rest of the towers.
-i hate getting the dye for the bricks :( i need 504 brick for 1 roof and thats 1512 red dye i need.

Glimpse of my new project

I was checking out Conboy Castle last week when I noticed that it is extremely laggy. After I removed every 3d object (stairs, candles, fences, etc) it was still causing a big drop in fps. So I decided that it's time for a new castle. Here is a glimpse of the new one so far. I have decided to use no chunk editing or pre-planning, just creative mode and whatever my mind comes up with.

Castle Hagrid of the Red Bull Variation

This is my official entry to the contest for the game controllers. I was aiming to make the castle from The Last Unicorn and you can see the gallery here: http://www.blockstory.net/gallery/castle-hagrid-red-bull-variation

I free ranged the build so it's probably nothing like the castle from the movie other than a small secret passage leading down to the lake front and that red monstrosity is supposed to be a bull. I planted horse spawners as I have not seen a unicorn spawner in this game as of yet.
